Why can my child play on the computer for hours, but has no desire to study?

When playing games on a computer, console, or cell phone, children receive immediate feedback. The reward center in the brain is activated much more quickly than with traditional learning. In addition, rewards await them when they have completed “that one level” or other smaller goals are within reach (“I'm almost there”).
